Overview

Tree and Beautification Commission.  

The Tree and Beautification Commission shall advise the City Council on all matters concerning trees and the beautification needs of the City, including preservation of the natural beauty of the City and recommending actions necessary and desirable to maintain the City as a member in good standing of the “Tree City, U.S.A.” program.  The Commission may also periodically receive updates on applications for dedication trees to be planted in the City.  To the extent practicable, the Commission shall be composed of at least one (1) member of the Nurserymen Association and one (1) member of a local garden circle.

DEDICATE A TREE 2022 Tree

TREE DEDICATION IS A WONDERFUL WAY TO COMMEMORATE A BIRTH, CELEBRATE A MILESTONE BIRTHDAY, HONOR A DECEASED FAMILY MEMBER, OR ANY OTHER REASON ONE MAY CHOOSE TO SHOW HONOR AND RECOGNITION.

Tree Dedication Is A Thoughtful And Lasting Way To Remember A Loved One And Memorialize Them In A Unique Way.

 

Donating A Tree In One Of The Lovely Parks In The City Of Vero Beach Or In Other Locations Throughout The City Is Possible Through The Tree And Beautification Commission.

 

The Program Has Been Ongoing Since 2000 And Is An Endeavor To Beautify The City And Involve The Citizens.

 

The Cost Varies From $500 To $900 For The Purchase And Planting Of The Tree.  The Cost For The Plaque Varies And There Is A $100 Application Fee, Which Goes To The Tree And Beautification Commission’s Fund To Help Continue Tree Planting And Other Beautification Projects.

Some Of The Trees That Have Been Dedicated Are Located At Young Park, Riverside Park, And Crestlawn Cemetery.
