Overview

Historic Preservation Commission.  

The Historic Preservation Commission shall develop and administer a comprehensive historic preservation program to identify and maintain the City’s historic resources for the benefit of both present and future residents as more fully described in this Code.  The Commission shall also consider and advise the City Council on such other matters as may be referred to the Commission by the City Council.  To the extent possible, one (1) member of the commission shall be an architect and the other members, to the extent practicable, shall include professionals in the fields of architecture, architectural history, urban planning, landscape architecture, archaeology, anthropology, interior design, or similar training and experience.  All members shall be residents of the City, to the extent possible, as determined by the City ClerkJohn Roberts.
